Canvas LTI 1.3

This article shows the configurations needed to use Canvas LTI 1.3 connections with Anthology.

Submit a request to our Support team or call (716.270.0000) requesting Canvas integration and include which Anthology products the integration will be connecting to.

Anthology Evaluate LTI

When adding an LTI key, add the following values to configure the Anthology Evaluate LTI 1.3 tool:

Navigate and open the Additional Settings section.
Add the following in the Custom Fields box:

user_name=$User.username
realm=https://{{yourrealm}}/eval-home/ (replace {{yourrealm}} with the realm of your institution.

Save the entry.

After saving the Developer Key, turn the "State" to ON. Make note to copy down the Client Id created for the one setup previously:

*make sure to select 'By Client Id'

The next step is to add the LTI you created onto each of the courses that you would like the LTI to appear on.

  • Log into Canvas
  • Navigate to a course page
  • From the course page, click "Modules"
  • Click "+Module"
  • Enter "Module Name" (e.g. Anthology Evaluate)
  • Click "Add Module"
  • From the new Module, click "+"
  • From the Add Drop-down Menu, select "External Tool"
  • Select the Course Evaluations LTI link that was created under "View App Configurations"
  • Check "Load in new tab"
  • Click "Add Item"
