This article shows the configurations needed to use Desire2Learn LTI 1.3 connections with Anthology.
Desire2Learn LTI 1.1 documentation is located here.
Submit a request to our Support team or call (716.270.0000) requesting Desire2Learn integration and include which Anthology products the integration will be connecting to.
Anthology Evaluate LTI 1.3
Follow these steps to setup a Brightspace LTI 1.3 Tool:
*Select as an LTI Advantage tool
Fill out the Register Tool form with the following information:
- Name: Anthology Evaluate LTI 1.3
- Domain: https://federation.campuslabs.com
- Redirect URLs: https://federation.campuslabs.com/lti13
- OpenID Connect Login URL: https://federation.campuslabs.com/connect
- Target Link URI: https://yourdomain.com/eval-home/
- Replace yourdomain.com with domain of your Anthology domain
- Example: https://mycampus.campuslabs.com/eval-home/lti/
On the same screen, add the following for Parameters below:
- Substitution Parameters
- Name: user_name
- Value: $Person.email.primary
- Custom Parameters
- Name: realm
- Value: https://yourdomain.com/eval-home/ (replace yourdomain.com with domain of your Anthology domain)
Save the form.
In the same document above, follow the steps to Deploy an external learning tool for LTI Advantage.
*Note that deployments are tied to org units.
Make sure to select the tool created in the previous step.
Follow the steps to Create an external learning link for LTI Advantage in the same document above.
When creating a new link, URL must be: https://yourdomain.com/eval-home/ (replace yourdomain.com with domain of your Anthology domain)
Launching the Tool
In order to add a link to courses you must edit the course navbars. You will have to repeat these steps for each D2L Navbar upon which you wish to include a link.
- In the upper right hand corner click the "Admin Tools" icon
- Go to "Navigation & Themes"
- Choose the course navbar you want to add the synchronization link to
- From '"Edit Navbar" choose where you want to place the link, and click the create custom link button:
- NOTE: Make sure the link is placed on the course navbar where Syllabus, Content, Grades, Classlist, etc. are located or synchronization will not work
- Name: Can be whatever you want to call the link (default that shows when adding to navigation)
- URL: Click "Insert Quicklink" and then
- choose "External Learning Tools"
- Find the name of the link you created under "Manage Tool Providers"
- Behavior: should remain "New window/tab"
- Description: Not required
- Icon: Not required
- Availability: Do not check “Share with child org units” nor “Limit to specific roles”
- Click "Create"
- Click "Save and Close". The link should now be available on the course navbar
