Planning Role Descriptions

This article will provide descriptions for the following roles:

  • Planning Primary Contact
  • Planning Site Administrator

Planning Primary Contact 

What are the responsibilities of a Planning Primary Contact?   

The Planning Primary Contact is responsible for the direction and goals for Planning site use. This individual should possess extensive knowledge of your institutional reporting structure, strategic plan implementation and other on-going institutional reporting processes. They should be able to articulate clear expectations to their users regarding annual reporting and strategic plan contributions. They are likely to serve as a Site Administrator as well.  

On other Campuses, who has been a Planning Primary Contact?   

Primary Contacts have held titles such as Director of Assessment, Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Director of Planning, Dean of Students, Vice President for Student Affairs, Student Affairs Assessment Coordinator.  

What is the level of involvement and time commitment of a Planning Primary Contact in onboarding and implementation?

 The onboarding process involves a thorough review of campus processes and documentation with your Campus Labs Consultant to prepare for site training and configuration. The Primary Contact will then attend a six-part implementation training series. After each training they will complete specific steps to configure their Planning site and then meet with their Campus Labs consultant.  

What is the level of involvement and time commitment of a Planning Primary Contact after launch?   

The Primary Contact will be a contact point on campus for users as well as a contact point for Campus Labs regarding check-ins, product updates, and product communications. They will manage user access on an on-going basis and update or add new Plans to the site as necessary.   

   

Planning Site Administrator   

What are the responsibilities of a Planning Site Administrator?   

The Planning Site Administrator configures the Planning site and manages user access. This individual should possess extensive knowledge of your institutional reporting structure, strategic plan implementation and other on-going institutional reporting processes. They should be able to articulate clear expectations to their users regarding annual reporting and strategic plan contributions.  

On other Campuses, who has been a Planning Site Administrator?   

Site Administrators have held titles such as Director or Associate Director of Assessment, Director or Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Assessment Coordinator. We may also see administrators from both student affairs and academic affairs/institutional effectiveness working collaboratively to support the two areas of the institution if they have separate processes.  

What is the level of involvement and time commitment of a Planning Site Administrator in onboarding and implementation?
